1500 acres of land owned by Poljodar tim, on which the activities of such broad scope are based, are located approximately 20 kilometres from Daruvar. With patience and persistence, we have for 30 years intensively worked on land restructuring, its melioration, equalization and leveling, the result of which is a fully equipped infrastructure. Roads have been maintained, as well as drainage channels. Quality drainage has been performed, as well as other hydrotechnical objects.

Large steps in development have been made at the beginning of the new century. In 2001 we invested in flow dryer, silos, mill for processing maize, seed processing and control laboratory. In 2004, a new line was built for drying seed corn, as well as new warehouse, and seed processing has been equipped with most advanced technology. During 2008 it has been invested in space for keeping valuable mechanical equipment; and in 2010 and 2011 new silos have been built with seed drying facility. The object for fattening cattle has been expanded and modernized. The entire process was completed by the production of freshwater fish and farming of fallow deer.

By processing corn in the Poljodar tim's mill we get corn meal-polenta, corn flour and corn groats.

Cornmeal and corn flour intended for human consumption are obtained from already well-known, high-quality corn variety Zlatko. Production, drying, storage and conditioning varietal pure corn for processing is performed according to strict technical standards, so that the properties of each grain that goes into processing would be preserved.

Maize harvested on the field is dried and reduced to storage moisture on the same day, then cooled in silos to the temperature of 10 °C which disallows all microbiological processes and the development of insects which ultimately provides exceptional and healthy raw material for further processing. The quality of cornmeal-polenta and corn flour is ensured throughout the year on the same level. Quality of supply is equal on the first and the last day of the year. The third component in the processing of maize is corn groat, rich, high-quality foodstuff containing between 9 and 10% of fat. It has significant nutritional and energy value, and is used to feed our own cattle during the fattening.

We want to further develop and expand our own production program, introduce into production new hybrids from our selection and enter the markets of countries in the region. By entering the food market with its own brands and products, the company Poljodar wants to offer quality and genuine domestic product of carefully selected raw materials. We have made a new breakthrough in the development of gluten-free products by building new capacities which completely separate the technological lines of gluten from gluten-free raw materials. Our laboratory performs analysis of gluten and mycotoxins in products and raw materials.
